Led by euphonium player Ellen Lee, this new 6-8 minute work for euphonium and fixed media electronics with optional live processing immerses performers and audiences into the sound world of Appalachian folklore. Drawing on legends and cryptids, unexplained phenomena, and eldritch horror, this piece will push boundaries and expand the sonic identity of the euphonium into unfamiliar territory. Geared towards both professional and pre-professional musicians, this work will invite those who interact with it to confront the unknown and step into a soundscape shaped by place, history, and imagination.​
